My Father - Louis Coke

Lou served in Company B, 327th Engineer Combat Battalion with the 102nd Infantry Division. He sailed for Europe Sept 12, 1944 aboard the Santa Paula. He served in the ETO with Dick Funk, Steve Moroz, Donald Detweiler, Albert Baumgart, John England, Sam Allen, Walter Fondry, Bob Fluhr, Floyd Jackson, James Gabrielson, John Zriny, Jim Oviatt, Charles Isoldi, Sgt Murry, Toohey, Prendy, Franklin, Childers, Lt Harold Lay & more.
In September 1945, Lou was transferred to the 1st Engineers until returning home in March 1946.

My father was also in the 327 Engineer Combat Batallion. Company B. He is in the group photo from Camp Swift. He was also on The Santa Paula Sept. 12, 1944. His name was Harl E. Bean PFC. He served until the end of the war and re-enlisted and was sent to the 9829 TSU CE H&S Co Engr Bn TECR Fort Belvoir Virginia.

My father served with your father. In the group photo from Camp Swift He's the man standing to your fathers right. His name is Harl Bean. Sadly he passed away in 1984 from Leukemia. If you would like to know any more about him email me at shelbygt500e43@yahoo.com.
